1. Start with the room and the customer
Define the intended home setting before choosing a frame or finish. A dedicated exercise room and a shared living space create different storage and handling requirements. Ask for the product dimensions in its working position, the clearance needed around it and the route through doorways to its intended location.
For your product brief, record the available floor area, access restrictions and whether the apparatus must be moved after use. When discussing a “reformer Pilates bed,” identify the exact apparatus and model code. A photograph or a broad product name alone does not establish the configuration supplied.
2. Compare a folding reformer with a fixed-frame model
A folding design is worth considering when storage is part of the customer’s requirement. Confirm the folded dimensions, folding procedure, locking arrangements and approved storage position for the specific model. The word “folding” does not tell you whether a model can be stored upright or moved by one person.
A fixed-frame reformer may suit a room where the apparatus remains in place. Compare its working footprint, carriage dimensions and access for cleaning or maintenance. Choose between the two configurations using the actual dimensions and handling requirements, rather than treating a folding design as automatically better for every home.
3. Read weight and packing figures separately
Folding does not automatically mean lightweight. For example, the currently listed ATMEHF002 folding reformer specifies a net weight of 80 kg and a gross weight of 100 kg. The fixed-frame ATMECC001 lists a net weight of 90 kg and a gross weight of 125 kg. These are model-specific catalogue figures to confirm with your quotation, and they matter when planning transport, unpacking and placement.
Net weight describes the product; gross weight includes packing. Packing dimensions describe the shipping package, not necessarily the folded storage size. Ask for both sets of measurements. Include stairs, delivery access and the intended handling arrangements when discussing delivery.
4. Compare the complete configuration
Compare the frame, rail construction, spring set, footbar positions, headrest, shoulder rests, ropes and loops. Then establish which accessories are included, such as a sitting box or jumpboard. Optional upgrades should be itemised separately so a base-price comparison remains meaningful.
For a home-focused range, request operating, folding and maintenance instructions for the selected model. Ask about replacement parts and the warranty applicable to each component. An instruction video should demonstrate the exact configuration you intend to supply; a video of a different model may leave important questions unanswered.
5. Build an OEM specification around the base model
Select the base apparatus before finalising branding. Share your preferred frame finish, upholstery colours, logo artwork, placement and packaging brief. Confirm which requests are standard options, which require a change to the design and whether they affect price, minimum quantity or production timing.
A useful private-label brief also includes the product identification, instruction language and packaging information required for your destination. Discuss any applicable market requirements for the final design. Do not assume that a catalogue image establishes a certification or that every branding option is included in the displayed unit price.
6. Compare ex-factory prices with the same scope
The USD prices displayed on ATME Pilates product pages are ex-factory unit prices, excluding freight and tax. Confirm the model, accessory set and customisation before comparing quotations. A lower base price may refer to a different configuration, so use a written list of inclusions.
For a delivery quotation, provide the quantities per model and the delivery country, city or port. Request the agreed shipping term, packing details and any delivery services you require. Keep the product price separate from transport, import charges and local handling when calculating the landed cost for your business.
7. Prepare a practical wholesale enquiry
Send the model codes and quantities, preferred configuration, branding brief, destination and requested timing. The Pilates equipment in the current ATME quotation has a minimum order quantity of 10 units; confirm the applicable MOQ for your selected configuration and ask about samples or mixed-model orders rather than assuming they are available.
Before confirming an order, reconcile the approved specification, product photographs, sample or demonstration, packing information and quotation. Record any changes in writing. This gives your purchasing team and supplier the same reference for the apparatus being ordered.
A shortlist for your home-use range
The two models below offer a folding and a fixed-frame starting point for comparison. ATMEHF002 is a maple folding reformer with internal hinges, shown in the main article photograph. ATMECC001 is a fixed-frame maple reformer. Review each product page for its current specifications and displayed price, then ask us to confirm suitability for your brief.
